“Recording with Jason allows me to be the crazy bastard that I truly am, without worrying whether or not he is on top of the production side of things. He always manages to make the recording process flow naturally and sound the way it needs to sound. GO WITH THE FRO!”

“Working with Diatonic productions was exactly the recording experience we were looking for. It was like having another member of the band collaborating with the production of our songs. Jason's knowledge, creativity and professionalism made the entire process easy and enjoyable. We felt free to experiment and search for just the right sounds and never felt like we were running out of time. The process with Diatonic allowed us to materialize the vision and sound that represented a polished live feel of our music. We highly recommend Diatonic and Jason to any musicians seeking a laid back, competent recording process.”

“I have recorded as an artist for United Artists, King Starday Records, Three SSS International, Warner Brothers, and many independents. I have produced many records as a vocalist and producer for the major labels, and believe you me, it is not the size of a studio or the big bucks invested in the studio that make a hit record. It is not the recording gear but the engineer, producers, artists and musicians, which create the music, and make a hit recording. It is the engineer who has an ear and can take a back seat and help a producer get the best performance out of the artists first, and then perfect the recording to enhance the sound and mixes which will compliment the song, the lead vocals, and the lead instruments. Jason Gloria has that gift and love for music and respects the efforts of that creative process that will get him a Grammy.
Working with Jason reminds me of recording at Fame Recording Studio and having the freedom and creativity that Otis Redding, James Brown, Wayne Cochran and I had when we were producing hits at Confederate Records and learning from the great hit maker, Bobby Smith, who published and produced several 1,000,000 seller records and managed and started many legendary artists and bands.
Jason Gloria is going to a legendary music man and engineer!”

“As I have grown as an artist, Diatonic Productions has grown as a company and has consistently been able to cater to my recording needs. In 2008, I was able to record my first release ("Free! The EP") in just ONE day, at a very low cost. Since then, I've been able to duplicate it and have an actual CD to sell to fans on iTunes, in select stores, and at my shows.
I can always count on Jason to give me a fair price whilst helping me reach my goals. He listens intently, gives advice, and then lets me play my music to my heart's content.
Looking Forward!”

“I can't praise Jason Gloria and Diatonic Productions enough. Not only did they deliver a totally pro sound but the comfortable work environment was better than any other studio I've ever recorded at, and it really shows in the recordings.”

“Back in the early fall of 2006, before Diatonic Productions was even in existence, Jason Gloria was doing the final mix and mastering for our (the Fling) debut EP. Our EP was his final project to get his degree and Jason wanted it to get it done so he could go move back to Jersey and move on with his life after graduating school. To make a long story short, that didn’t happen; Flatfoot Records loved our EP (in no small part to the job Jason did) and approached us about coming back and taking on a full album this time around. We were excited to say the least but we had one request…that Jason stay and produce us again.
Jason stayed, we recorded the album and he created Diatonic Productions. I can’t speak for the rest of the Fling but here’s what I think of Jason and his work after working with him extensively over the past three years and two projects: Jason is completely professional and an absolute joy to work with! Now, what makes it such a joy:
♦Jason flat out loves his work; he takes pride in his work and every project that he works on. It’s equally important to him that you are happy with the final product as well.
♦He is absolutely meticulous in the set up process. He’s not a “fix it in the mix” type of producer. He makes sure that every microphone is placed perfectly, that every input is as noise free as possible and that the headphone mix is comfortable. Basically, the recording already sounds good going straight to the board. The set up takes a bit of time and painstaking tweaking but it’s worth it in the long run. The time is made up for in the editing and mixing process when you don’t have to doctor and tweak the tracks to compensate for lack of sound quality during the actual recording.
♦He is creative, helpful and knowledgeable without being overbearing. He always has good suggestions and he’s really thinking about the music as its being recorded like a good producer should do. He’s another set of ears and he has great ideas for parts and approaches to the music but he’s also well aware of the artistic vision involved. He’s not trying to bend you to his will or his vision; he’s trying to do what’s best for the song and bring out the best out in those he records without throwing a fit when you don’t agree with his ideas. He’s the consummate professional in this respect.
♦He takes a very scholarly approach to his work. Every time I see him, he’s learned something new or has some new technique that he wants to try. He’s already great and he’ll keep on getting better. The same with his gear for the studio; he always has new, fun toys for the studio and invests everything in his craft and himself.
♦Jason is a very good and extremely knowledgeable musician on top of being a great producer. For all of you guitar players out there that want to have fun working with a producer, look no further. Every song and every part is the eternal quest for the perfect tone with Jason and he’s never afraid to experiment with different rigs, guitars and effects. This goes for the other instruments as well.
Recording with Jason is always very comfortable and productive. We’re already looking forward to starting our third project with Jason and Diatonic early in the new year, 2009. I hope you give Diatonic a chance and have the same experience as I have. “
Sincerely,
Justin Kangrga - The Fling
